We are always proud to share the successes of our students. It is particularly rewarding to see their hard work culminate in their earning PhD and Masters degrees. This year doctoral students Jayati Dev, Behnood Momenzade, Vafa Andalibi, and DongInn Kim all graduated and began new careers beyond IU.

Jayati Dev’s research focussed on socio-cultural aspects of privacy, especially towards the design of user-centric policies for mobile devices and assistants. She is now a privacy engineer working in the Cybersecurity R&D Team at Comcast. Her team is working in conversational platforms to understand how users protect their information on such platforms. SPICE graduates

Graduate Behnood Momenzadeh works as a systems engineer at Google. Also at Google is fellow graduate Vafa Andalibi, now a security software engineer working on Applied Machine Learning (AML) in security and privacy — when he is not teaching as an adjunct professor at New York University.

Finally, DongInn Kim graduated after being central to developing the Capture The Flag (CTF) curriculum for Indiana University Bloomington. He now works as a senior cyber operations engineer at MITRE. His research continues to focus on IoT, Fog, and Edge.

The entire SPICE team is very proud of our Doctoral graduates and are excited to see the results of their future endeavors.
